Pamukkale Trips for 2 Days Half Board
Take a two-day trip to Pamukkale (Cotton Castle), a spectacular geological formation. Over hundreds of years, warm mineral-laden waters have tumbled down the mountainside, forming enormous circular basins fringed with stalactites. Spend the days bathing in the hot springs and thermal waters, believed to help cure a myriad of ills, from heart disease to rheumatism. Nearby are extensive ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis, founded in 190 BC. In its Roman heyday this was an important spa, which Cleopatra is said to have graced with her beauty.
| Perge - Aspendos - Side These remarkable ruined cities lie in an area known ancient times as pamphylia. Perge was founded around 1.000 BC and is a spectacular spot with expansive and impressive ruins. Built into the side of the hill is theatre, which could accommodate 14000 people. The ancient site of Aspendos is famous for its well preserved theatre with elaborate stage, auditoriun and arcade above all of which are intact. |
